my gu 4.2i subtank light came on last week and I noticed the dash button no longer works.I have researched the issue and have found a few people out there have had issues.I found people said- try adding an earth strap to the chassis & disconnect your battery for a few hours(which I tried and the sub tank light came back on after a few seconds).
I would like your thoughts on what I might try before taking it to a mechanic cheers welsh Lee(aussie wendy).

try you tube or take the transfer pump out (under car drivers side clean it out plus connection. i had a similar problem but nissan put the pump in back wards (that the in pipe on the out side and the out became the in fuel flow)just check if you have had it out

Yes. its on the righthand side under the back of the drivers seat under the car. Then there is a cover with two 10mm bolts. If you have any problems, you can give a me a call... 0417624877

thanks Robin,just to let you know the problem is now finally solved,thanks to Shino (pommy Lee).I t was the pump that had given up the ghost and Lee helped me replace my pump,cheers Lee !
