Last week I had a dual battery system installed. After my vehicle was noticeably slugglish. would lose 10 kmh going up Rochedale rd from the lights. I checked the wiring and all appeared normal, so I started worrying about alternator output, or was it even working, or was the turbo dicky. After two days it had not settled down. So I rang the installer, a reputable shop, and took it back in. A small vaccum hose had been left off. Unfortunately it was the waste gate line so my waste gate was constantly open and any turbo pressure was just bypassing. A simple fix but a trap for young players eh and a lot of concern and worry. So the moral of the story. ensure one reconnects everything one removes. . . |

whitey.
its a Redarc Smartstart battery isolator, I had it fitted at a reputable 4wd dealership.
I had already fitted that hot wire and plug to the back as I got this in a kit when I brought my fridge. That saved some money..
