ok folks... Gloves off. Hema app for $99 or Mud Map2 for $99.
I know what the Hema guys said at a recent member meeting but I want real world experiences. Who has had experience with either of these apps on their iPad and what do they think of it? Pros and Cons please.

We have hema on our IPad, and had no issues, Anne can use it ok, won't say anymore.

I have hema on android (hema explorer) and VMS4x4 on ipad. So far, VMS gives me the most detailed maps and there is like 2500 maps included....I just need to buy a new ipad coz mine is dying. But yeah VMS is for me the way to go.

We have used the HEMA maps on the Ipad for the last few years without a problem.
No issues with the Ipad even on rough outback roads.

Just an update on my initial line of questioning.
Hema won out. Purchased for my iPad.
I have the iPad linked via Bluetooth to Garmin GLO GPS found here https://buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/in-the-air/portable-gps/glo-for-aviation/prod109826.html attached to car dash by velcro dots.
For those wanting to know how I hold my iPad. It is mounted using the following from RAM Mount http://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-HOL-TABDL14U and http://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-316-1-202U
I find it works very well even on the most corrugated roads.
And, no I'm not earning a single penny for these endorsements, I'm just showing my set up.
