I have owned a 1998 GU 2.8 diesel since new. Apart from a clutch failure at 120,000k she has not let me down. She now has 320,000k and is displaying a loss of power as well as sometimes being difficult to start. I would say that it is time for new injectors and pump.
I'm on the north side of Brisbane. I would appreciate any details re recommended (or not recommended ) diesel specialists on north side together with what the job cost and whether new or reconditioned parts were used.
I had no experience of turbo diesels before the patrol. A very good friend who was a mechanic made me promise that I would change the oil every 10,000k and use only the very best quality turbo oil. I believe this is probably why I have received such good service from her.
