I do believe the law requires you to actually retain the rear seat belts in situ if installing drawer systems. I don't profess to be an expert on the subject, but I was told that a blue engineering modification plate is required for some changes. Removal of those rear seats has been done by many, but belts remain.

Perhaps worth getting some advice before committing the $$$$$$ to the project?? Good luck.

Hi Almaster, I have edited this response to you with the further information , that Anthony has previously threaded links to the new changes to the modification laws, both will be highlighted in yellow on your screen .

Actually I've had mine modified to be a 5 seater and when the compliance plate was done the inspector insisted I remove the rear seat belts.

Thanks Noel, the point being that getting that advice and indeed a Compliance plate is the safest way of avoiding any problems later.

Installing a complete floor to roof cargo barrier generally the start of all these other changes.
