35s will fit with that lift as far as I am aware going bigger will give major issues with cv joints etc and will also be non roadworthy in Qld and can't be complianced for those as far as I know

Hi there,
If you fit 35" tyres, you'll probably find they will scrape on the back of the flares, and also the rear inner guards when the suspension in on full twist. If you have 10" rims, the inner guard scraping may be avoided.
A min. 4" susp. lift is normally required to fit 35" tyres and above.
If going higher than a 4" susp. lift, adjustments/modifications to your running gear will also be required.
33" tyres will fit ok without any problems, and you'll find your spedo will read accurate.
Apart from all this info, have fun with improving your patrol!
thanks for the info guys , are you saying 35s will cause cv issues ?
would 33s be more suitable at this stage ?
plus its only a rb30 carby so im having doubts if itd manage very well pushing 35s
rear 1/4s are cut and front inner guards are out
no flares at this stage

heres my patrol with 33's.I reckon its about right now.with 2inch body lift and 2inch sus lift.
This is the best setup for touring and offroading in general.more than this and you will have probbs.
You will have to go all the adjustable sus stuff for a bigger lift and wont drive great on the blackstuff.
