After receiving the recall in the mail we called highway nissan a few times to no answer and left a message and still no reply so we called moorooka nissan and had the car booked in today dropped it off at 9 when they told me and said it would be ready at 1:30pm. At 10 am I got a call and was told they were waiting on the parts and said the car would now be ready at 3pm. Arrive at nissan at 3 to pick up car and was told parts have not arrived and was told that this is there first of this recall and they needed details off the car before parts could be ordered ( load of rubbish) and they hope they would turn up tomorrow. Which my response was is this going to turn into another Noel Kanofski saga which turned all heads in the service department I told them that the part has to come from Brisbane so how hard can it be and when the part arrives tomorrow and you call me I will be straight down for you to fit it. (Nissan) but you car is not booked in tomorrow. (Me) that's ok you inconvenienced my today so I will return the favour tomorrow.
So another good story about moorooka nissan I will keep you all up dated as this continues.

They should not book your car in to fix if they do not have the parts, or can't guarantee that they can get the parts.
They don't seem to care these days if they waste your day for no reason by not being organised themselves.
I hope you get your car fixed quicker than Noel took with his.
I can tell you I certainly won't be taking my car there.

My daughter used to sell cars there and her partner was the senior mechanic who ran the workshop. They both left because they were dissatisfied with the way the business was managed.
Poor management kills so many businesses

Ok time for update
I contacted nissan moorooka today and surprise surprise part had still not arrived that they were on back order and they said they would call me back soon. 2hours later I received a call that the part was on the parts truck and would be here today. Now can I get it fitted on Wednesday or Thursday answer no we have not done this job before and don't know how long it will take to fit and we are very busy this week so now I have to wait till the 22nd to get it done as I have to work and can't get down there so hopefully it will get done then but I don't like my chances from the happenings so far I think a call to nissan Australia is in call for as I think if they put out a recall they should have the parts available to repair all said vehicles.

The job has been completed.
Dropped it off at 8am got a call at 12:30 saying its ready arrive to pick up and have the same service guy that I have been dealing with hand me the keys and say I'm sorry it has taken so long to get this done but these things happen. I took my keys and left thinking these things happen how many others has this happened to but lesson learnt I will not be going back ever.
