INFORMATION received from Nanango Visitor Information Centre
We are pleased to inform you that Council approved at the meeting last week that we 'reopen' the reserve on the following conditions:
1. Permits are required (as they were before)
2. Road closed sign to be moved to just below the Seven Mile Diggings area.
3. Sign advising 4WD vehicles only to be installed at the entrance
4. Sign advising no motorbikes are allowed (same as on the rail trail if possible)
5. Rubbish bins to be removed and sign erected saying to take rubbishwith
you. (similar to the one at Coomba falls see below)
Unfortunately this does not include the Old Coach Road (Old Esk Road). The section between the diggings and Blackbutt/Benarkin remains closed. All traffic to the diggings will have to go via the Nanango end of the road. As previously, the permits can be obtained from the Nanango Visitor Information Centre.
